Rated 5 out of 5 by Spoonman from This reel casts like a dream I've had this reel for a year now I love the fact that I can fish 18 pound test and have enough line capacity after I've lost some line due to snags and breaking off to keep up casting distance, also this reel casts quite far I fish rivers for salmon and this is just the ticket for kings, chums and large winter steelhead I've had no problems with this reel and I do a lot of casting during a day on the river it's hard to beat the revo models of baitcasters

Rated 4 out of 5 by Thunderfisher from Love the look!but it did come with some problems. saddly the chrome near the levelwind is bubbling, but thats not the worst, the clicker or plastic part #87 is mest up after the second use. Also the knob used to adjust weight of your lure does not work properly. I turn to the max setting and my senkos still go as far as the eye can see, so is this normal or not? well i got 2 revo toros NACL 60 HS and one is tighter than the other but both seem to not adjust properly to heavier lures. TRanslation: i have to keep my thumb on the spool to avoid birdsnest most of the time. I would recommend if i knew they would fix for free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ronnie Howe from Swimbait Reel! I was looking to upgrade my Swimbait Reel and that I did! What a big difference this makes! Not having to use a round reel makes my hands feel so much better! Plenty of line capacity too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SBRO73 from Awesome Musky Reel I had gone through two other advertised as heavy duty casting reels for musky fishing in the last year when I decided to try this light duty salt water reel. I was pleasantly surprised to find this reel perfect for my needs. The drag is strong but extremely smooth. The reel handles heavy musky baits, casting a country mile in a smoth and backlash free fashion. Either of the two handles provided with the reel are easy to grasp and provide great leverage. The great line capacity allowed me to spool it up with 150 yards of 80 lb. braid with no problem. Even with the heavy braid, casting and retrieve are smooth and quiet. I sure was glad to be using this reel on my last trip to Canada. I boated two fish over 30 lbs and never felt that my tackle was insufficient. Great reel!

Rated 2 out of 5 by macnone from Could be great salt water reel but... I was excited to get my hands on the reel. And here it is. I'd take it out the very next day to the boat ... And then life happens and a little more than a year later I finally hit the water. For a while it a honeymoon ... and then my thumb begin to tired. I figured that it'll take me a little while to work it loose but to my disrepair the thumb release it only getting stiffer and after 3 trips it's useless to me ... Is it my first such reel you ask? No. I do own Daiwa Luna 103, 253 and 300 and Shimano Calcutta 401 TE. All of them are older than my Revo Toro NACL 61. But I can use only the older reels ... I've looked for a solution or a how-to online and found none :( I'd ask Abu Garcia to release a how-to for the thumb release bar so that I can make this reel my primary salt water reel. I'm servicing and fixing all my reels and familiar with the mechanics. Please let me know how to fix this issue! It's my firs Abu reel and I really want to be impressed ... Given the current state - I can't recommend this reel to ANYONE ... but I'd like to be able to do that ... Please help.

Rated 1 out of 5 by A Roz from 1 Season and Out of Service I bought this reel (NACL60) thinking with proper care and not abusing it this reel would last me a very long time. After 1 season (+/- 20 trips) and rinsing down the reel each and every trip the clutch will no longer engage. For $300 I expected much better than that from an Abu Garcia product this is not made in China. Will not be buying anymore Abu Garcia products in the future. Product was excellent WHEN it worked...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fred1955 from I bought this reel seven months ago and of course have never had a moments regret. This current range of ABU reels is like going back to the days when you could only purchase round model reels. They give you total confidence in their operation and have the feel of reels will be with the buyer for a lifetime.
