Rated 5 out of 5 by Little Miss Pish from Small price for big fun! I bought this real actually as an extra one because I loved my first one so very much. I have slowly gotten rid of all other brands and Abu Garcia products are all that I own at this point. I have other higher end spinning reels and honestly I am just as happy with this one as I am with them. I have caught everything from large mouth bass to sharks with this reel. Retrieval is quick, I never get twisted line and it has been dropped in the water in the sand and anything else my children could possibly do to it and I still have no problems whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this reel in a second.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kjudd34 from Incredible product for the money!!! I bought this reel a few years ago and have used on both local ponds and large lakes. I have some more expensive tackle but opt for this more often then not for it's dependability. I have caught multiple 4 to 5 pound bass on this reel with no issue. I would definitely recommend this for a beginner or intermediate angler. I love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Trev from Good reel for the money. At first I had trouble with the plastic handle nut backing out while I fished, but a drop of loctite fixed that. Handles #20 spiderwire well. The drag was okay. It chattered a couple times, but overall it managed to easily tolerate the runs of a 25lb salmon. A nice solid, and pretty smooth reel, for the money. Compliments an 8 foot ugly stick very nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JPV789 from great reel I love the Abu Garcia product. I saw this reel on sale and thought I'd give it a try. I am very pleased with this reel. At first I was worried it wouldn't be a very good reel because it was so cheap, but that first cast proved me wrong. It's a very smooth casting and reeling reel. I haven't had any issues with it yet and don't foresee any in the future. I'm more of a high end reel type of guy but I would by another one of theses.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Flip2029 from Missing Part Purchased this spring at local Kmart. Also bought a spinning rod to go with and some line. While putting on line was unable to get the antirevers to work. First time taking apart a spinning real I found that the anti reverse spring was missing. Found a website to order the $.60 spring but cost $4.50 shipping! Made a spring from an ink pen spring and it works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 1508 from Definitely worth it! I have had this reel for about a year now and I am extremely impressed with it. I have reaped in plenty of 6 and 7 pound bass with this no problem. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sleepingsword from Robust and cost effective! I have had one of these for a few years now, used mostly for freshwater fishing but sometimes a little sea fishing. The reel has taken some abuse over the years but still works great. I have the small version of the reel with a telescopic Abu Garcia Cardinal rod. Its one of those items I never leave home without when going on a little tour. A great little travel setup I would recommend to anyone.
