Rated 5 out of 5 by Anthony L from SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT & SENSITIVE Rod is absolutly designed for profection ! Hands down best jerkbait rod you can ask for from the shortened butt end. The the perfect composite material bend of 60/40 to give the best hook up ratio. My favorite part of the rod would have to be the handle, its just so comfortable to fish with as we know how jerkbaiting tires out your hand and wrist very quickly, When i hold it feel that i have a firm grip of it and i can handle fish with ease w/o feeling like i might lose the rod on a hook set. Next thing would be that it has the the sickest paint job ever, changes from a metallic green to a metallic purple in sun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FishaholicsAnonymous from Beautiful.. Absolutely Beautiful Just returned a St. Croix mojo bass rod and decided to go out on a limb and get the 7'2 MH IKEC72-6 rod, despite having little experience with Abu Garcia rods. I've had quite a few rods over the years and none compare to this bad boy. The paint job is beautiful, the handle feels like a dream in my hand, and its perfectly balanced. For $130 id have to say, I am very impressed and this is a solid buy. P.S. Anyone (the 14 yr old) who snaps a rod like this while attempting to pull in a 2lb bass, obviously doesn't need to be fishing with this rod. I hope the kid who wrote the bad review reads this. Cheers

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dr Dave from Very Good Quality I purchased the rod about six weeks ago and got to use it last week. I was looking for a versatile rod to use for Bass, Walleye, Trout etc and needed a rod that is more than what my ultra light rod can handle. The rod arrived in good condition having been packaged VERY well in a padded tube. The look of the rod is excellent as depending on lighting the rod can be green, brown, blue etc and just in looks alone it really stands out. As far as how the rod acts and handles, I am using a Abu Garcia bait casting reel and the rod really casts very well and the action is very good and you can feel when the fish is nibbling and when hooked it provides good resistance without ever feeling like the rod is going to break. The rod ;makes fishing more enjoyable to the senses thought its look as well as it performance. It looks like a very well made, premium carbon rod which has enhanced my fishing experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by guntersvillebassman17 from Loved the rod until...... I bought this rod yesterday at a local mom and pop tackle shop. I purchased the 7'4 frog rod. I paired it up with a stx and 50lb braid for frog fishing on lake Guntersville. I was excited about my purchase and decided to take it to a pond near my house. After about 30 minutes of fishing I hooked up with a 2 pound bass. Before I even set the hook the rod snapped 9 inches from the tip. I will be taking it back to the tackle shop and attempt to exchange it on Monday. I'm willing to give this rod another shot. And the reason I put yes on would you recommend is the quality and the way the rod feels in your hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TVAbasser from Substantial offering for crankbaits Ordered this 7' delay Ike series rod and I like it! It isn't the lightest cbr but it isn't the most expensive either, it feels solid in my hands, comfortable eva foam handle, loads well and will launch a cb!! I boated about 15 pounds with it off a school, had it paired with a revo winch and 12lb fluoro, landed about a 5lber and it held up well, kept the trebles pinned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sac fisherman from Love it. Well executed rod. I bought the 6.4 twitch rod and what a fantastic rod. I was amazed how far I can cast rip baits with this rod. I really wish I could find them at local sporting stores but gave it a shot by ordering. Ike and abu did a great job on the collaboration. The two feature I loved most is the comfort of the Fuji reel seat and midsized guilds(not too small not too big). Will buy again and recommended to all folks who love abu rods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BradSmith from Light weight and very sensitive. Purchased this rod a month back and have used it for swimbaits as well as frogs in the grass. It works great with both. I own numerous ABU rods and this rates among the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WPCfishinh from As close at it gets to a custom build I bought the 74-6 rod. The action is exactly what you would expect. Guides are of excellent quality as are the EVA grip and butt. The paint finish is top notch. If you want a serious rod buy an IKE. I've casted a 1/2oz frog 175' with 65# Power Pro, hooks sets are on the money.
