Rated 3 out of 5 by Gabe from Good Rod I was looking for a rod with 11 feet in length, 2 spices, light weight, strong, and Heavy in order to make long casting. For that, I used to have 11 feet Cabelas European Spining Rod that I loved so much. Unfortunately, no more production. I researched many different manufacturers' rods and found that this rod is the closest one to the rod that I was looking for. Please make the lower grip about 5 inches longer and Heavy. That would be perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jessica from Easley broken Only had this pole a month or so . It broke while catching a 4 lb catfish. Very disappointed in this pole. The very next day I went back fishing had to use my old open faced ugly stick pole that I've had for a few years and is really only good for catching panfish however it pulled in not 1 but 2 6 pound catfish without a problem or breaking. I'm very upset with the cost of this pOle, especially with it not being used but a few times makes me question my future purchases of Abu products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by reelscience from Great Planer Board Rod! These are great planer board rods for walleye trolling. I pull inline boards with the 8'6" model and they handle them very well. I use the 9'6" rods for pulling leadcore with inline planer boards. These rods have a sensitive tip for fighting fish and plenty of backbone for handling planer boards, even in big waves. I highly recommend them for anyone that trolls for walleye.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Team Gonna Fish from I should have read the reviews first I recently purchased the 8'6" MH telescoping rod (model no. VNTCS86T-6). I troll for stripers (both recreational and in tournaments) and have been looking for a less expensive, longer, softer rod for a while now and found this rod. I have been fishing the Volatile 8' MH, but it is just a little too stiff. Abu Garcia says that the Vendetta is "Designed with the trolling angler in mind...." so I thought that surely this would be my rod. I was excited when it arrived and I put an Ambassadeur 7000 on it. Two days later, I'm out trolling for stripers and patiently waiting for my first bite on this new rod to see how it is. Finally it bends back, I pick it up out of the holder and start to fight the fish. Then "SNAP". The rod breaks in half just above the fourth eye. I still manage to land the fish only to see that it is a small one not even legal to keep. I am VERY disappointed and Abu Garcia has replaced the rod quickly, but I have no confidence in this rod. Abu also says this rod has "...actions specifically engineered for the salmon trolling crowd...". I'm sure that a striper doesn't fight that much harder than a salmon. I'm still hopeful that Abu Garcia can fix this problem because it would be the perfect rod for me, but as of right now, sadly I can't recommend this rod.
