Rated 5 out of 5 by ksnfme from FanFreakinTastic Rod I am the PROUD owner of an Ike signature casting rod. After only a couple uses I quickly discovered just what a great rod this is. After several months of fishing with my medium power moderate action rod it has become my ALL TIME favorite! I prefer using casting rods with spinning reels (hey I like the trigger). This rod is ballanced, light, strong, and sensitive! I show no mercy on it either. I fish it with live baits, spinners, bucktails, and when the shad run in April, i even use it with my downriggers. It is one tough rod. I have parked my St Croix premier, and my Avid in favor of this rod. If that isn't enough, the way the finish changes colors with the sun light makes the cool factor off the chart. Do yourself a favor and BUY THIS ROD! You won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shawn Rodgers from Perfect rod for the price!!! I bought this rod two days ago and used it both days and it is an absolutely amazing rod. I got the 6'10" for wacky rig fishing and let me say it out performs my older abu garcia rod by a whole lot

Rated 5 out of 5 by WLUBrendan from Ike Brings Tournament Performance for All The Ike Rod, inspired by Michael Iaconelli. I began fishing ten years ago, but it was only this year that I started watching the BassMaster episodes online. It’s been pretty exciting to watch the BassMaster, and Iaconelli has definitely been one of the guys I’ve followed throughout the circuit. I’m currently a second year university student, and picking up a new rod was a big priority for me this spring. I had put it off until the ending of last season; this is when I found myself in the aisles of rods, searching for the one. That’s when one of the sales associates, let’s call him Joe, approached me. Joe and I look at several rods, from several brands. One of my big concerns was definitely not breaking the bank, which is definitely difficult when you don’t want to compromise performance. The Ike was actually one of the first rods that Joe had pulled off the rack for me, and I have to say, it was love at first sight. What really drew me to the Ike was the fact it didn’t feel like just another consumer level recreational rod, it felt like a tournament rod, and this was before I even saw the price. The finish on the rod is phenomenal, although the colours are a bit strange for some (they are definitely not your conventional black). The blank looked great, and the guides were truly straight which was a great start. I took a closer look, and even the wraps looked very tight and well put together. The rod had great sensitivity, the one piece construction on this rod really complements it. I found that the hook set was also quite powerful, despite its flimsy tip, the rod had some serious backbone to it. This to me definitely didn’t seem like a $150.00 rod, and seriously felt like something that I could believe Abu putting in the hands of their pros. Definitely a great rod to consider for any level of bass fisherman!
