NINE ABU GARCIA PROS EARN TRIP TO 2008 BASSMASTER CLASSIC

Abu Garcia will send nine pros to the 2008 Bassmaster Classic to be held February 22-24 on Lake Hartwell, Greenville, SC. On the line for the Abu Garcia pros are $500,000 and the coveted Classic title.

The Abu Garcia Classic Contenders will include Casey Ashley, Donalds, SC; John Crews, Jetersville, VA; Boyd Duckett, Demopolis, AL; Kelly Jordan, Mineola, TX; Jared Lintner, Arroyo Grande, CA; John Murray, Phoenix, AZ; Skeet Reese, Auburn, CA; Scott Rook, Little Rock, AR and Kevin Wirth, Crestwood, KY.

Field Manger Scott Dubiel said, “The Abu Garcia pros are out there each day getting the job done. They have earned the right to be at the 2008 Bassmaster Classic through an extremely long and rigorous 11-tournament season.”

Thirty-six spots have been filled for the Bassmaster Classic from the Bassmaster Elite Series. The remaining spots will include three anglers from each of the Bassmaster Southern and Central Opens, six anglers from BASS Federation Nation, one angler from the Bassmaster Weekend Series and Berkley Pro Boyd Duckett who is the current Bassmaster Champion.
