ABU GARCIA PRO JEANE WINS FLW STREN SERIES EVENT

10.28.2009 — – Abu Garcia pro team member George Jeane captured the FLW Stren Series title at Toledo Bend Lake this past weekend. Jeane hauled in a three-day bag of 40-pounds, 15-ounces. The Evans, Louisiana, native was using the Abu Garcia REVO Premier to capture the win.

“There is no better reel for me than the REVO Premier,” said Jeane. “I used a combination of the Fenwick Elite Tech Strokin’ rod and REVO Premier, which turned out to be the perfect combo for feeling a subtle bite. I started off the tournament pretty slow, but things picked up around the brush piles that I had keyed on through the last few days of competition. ”

Jeane, who earned $17, 437 for the title and a Ranger 198VX for the victory, was using a Berkley 10-inch Berkley PowerBait Power Worm. Targeting brush piles in 17-22 feet of water, the Abu Garcia pro battled through rain and tough fishing conditions to secure the win on his home lake.
