PGA SELECTS BERKLEY, ABU GARCIA AND FENWICK TACKLE FOR CHAMPIONSHIP DINNER GIFTS

SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa – 2004 PGA Champion Vijay Singh, as with all reigning Champions, was responsible for the Championship Dinner menu and gifts to the party recipients. Among the guest list were PGA dignitaries and former PGA champions. The dinner attendees were the who’s who in the current golfing world. Mr. Singh’s menu items took on a cultural flair to match his Fiji and far east background. The gift selection was all American and all world and included Berkley, Abu Garcia and Fenwick fishing products.
The exclusive fishing tackle ensemble was the idea of Mr. Singh, a golfing great and angling enthusiast. The gift package included a Fenwick Techna AV baitcast rod, Abu Garcia D6 baitcast reel, Berkley Trilene fishing line and an assortment of Berkley Gulp!, PowerBait and Frenzy baits. The tackle was delivered in a red Berkley bag with the PGA logo screened on one end and an event presentation narrative screened on the other. Also included for each recipient was a current Bassmaster magazine, Bassmaster cap, small BASS bag and a year’s membership in BASS. The Championship Dinner was held at the Baltusrol Golf Club August 9 prior to the 2005 PGA Championship won by Phil Mickelson.
