First Look: The Pros Review the New REVO Low-Profile Reel

06.01.2006 — By Mark Sexton, Abu Garcia Product Innovation - The BASS Pro anglers were shown the new 2007 Abu Garcia reels last week prior to the Elite BASS tournament at Grand Lake, Oklahoma. The new Abu Garcia low-profile Revo was a huge hit.

After handling the reel and actually casting some baits, the most frequent comment was that this reel would become one of their go-to reels right now! Several of the Pros (even those from other reel sponsors) mentioned that it’s the perfect pitching reel. The uncommonly smooth function and the comfortable fit into their hands will ensure that the Revo will instantly become a factor in their fishing. Every pro on the Abu Garcia staff received a reel to put into the rod box. Scott Rook had this to say about the new Revo, “This feels like the smoothest, fastest, Abu-tough reel I have ever handled.”
