USA AND CANADA = Abu Garcia rods and reels are covered against manufacturing defects in
materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase.
FOR USA AND CANADA ONLY
ONE YEAR “LIMITED WARRANTY”
This "limited warranty" has been drafted to comply with
the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Federal Trade Commission
Improvement Act which is effective for goods manufactured
on or after December 31, 1976.
For the period indicated, Abu Garcia will, at its option,
repair or replace and return the covered items found to be
defective in material or workmanship at no charge except
for shipping cost. Abu Garcia will have no other obligation
and will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
Abu Garcia makes no implied warranty of merchantability
or fitness for any period beyond the stated duration
of each Limited Warranty. This Warranty does not cover
damage by addition or alteration of the product, accidental
damage or loss, abuse, failure to provide reasonable
and necessary maintenance or normal expected wear.
Damage that is determined to be of this nature will be
repaired at consumer's expense. This Warranty does
not extend to products which are put to commercial or
rental use.
This Warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the
reel, and does not give any rights to any other person.
Some states do not allow exclusions of incidental or consequential
damages or limitations of the duration
implied warranties, so the above exclusion and limitation
may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific
legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from
state to state. Do not send cash or checks to cover the cost
of repair for products on which the Limited Warranty period
has expired. Abu Garcia's Authorized Repair Centers
will notify you of the amount due, including handling and
shipping charges. Wholesalers and dealers (unless an Abu
Garcia Authorized Center) are not authorized to make in-warranty
repairs or adjustments on behalf of Abu Garcia. The
terms of the Warranty cannot be changed except in writing
by an officer of Abu Garcia.

Abu Garcia rods or reels requiring warranty repair should not be returned to the store of purchase.
Reels requiring warranty consideration should be sent postage paid to the Abu Garcia Factory Service Department or to an Abu Garcia Authorized Warranty Service Center.
To help expedite with the processing of your reel(s) please fill out and include with your shipment a copy of the Reel Repair Return Form. click here to print form
Please follow the shipping instructions listed below for packaging, shipping and handling.
Abu Garcia will repair or replace the product at its option and return directly to the purchaser.
For warranty consideration a dated proof of purchase must be included with returned product.
Baitcast Reels: $19.95 service charge per reel plus the cost of repair parts and shipping/handling.
Spinning Reels: $15.00 service charge per reel plus the cost of repair parts and shipping/handling.
Spincast Reels: $15.00 service charge per reel plus the cost of repair parts and shipping/handling.
Rods
All Rods requiring service should be sent postage paid to Abu Garcia's Factory Service Center ONLY (Do not send to Authorized Service Centers).
Please include a check or money order in the amount of $9.95 to cover return postage and handling of your rod.
For warranty consideration a dated proof of purchase must be included with returned product.
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
With your reel or rod, please enclose your dated proof of purchase and a short note describing the problem.
Also include a check or money order in the amount of $9.95 to cover return postage and handling (rods only).
To protect your reel/rod against damage or loss in transit, please package carefully and be sure to adequately insure the package. Please keep all shipping receipts.
Non-Warranty Reel Repair Procedures
Abu Garcia or an Abu Garcia Warranty Service Center can repair reels not covered by warranty for a reasonable charge.
Please follow the above instructions regarding packaging, shipping and insurance.
