    This reel is made for flipping and pitching.

    I do not use this reel for its intended use but I’ll say this, I usually cast lighter cranks and smaller search baits on it. As long as you do not cast anything. Too heavy, it’s beautiful. If you bought the combo, the rod is decent but if you upgrade it and use it for flipping and pitching, this thing is beautiful for a 50 dollar reel. Do not cast heavy lures as lower end abu models tend to break off line in the spool. So, chatterbaits are a no go unless it’s the mini max. Stick to the specs and this reel will treat you right

    Boys first baitcaster

    It is a great first baitcaster for my son. I ordered the 6’6” rod since he’s short and he is outcasting me after only a few trips.
