Great Rod! Light weight, sensitive and the skinnier-than-average reel seat feels so good in the hand! I've used this rod for several weeks now and love it! So much I've bought 3 and plan on buying another to replace an underperforming rod already in the box. I know it says "Swimbait" rod, but I'm using one as a dropshot rod and love the way it feels. My buddy and his son-in-law have also bought several in the last couple of weeks also.

This rod has a nice Fast Action to it. Should work great for slinging smaller swimbaits a country mile so you can sneak up on them with FFS. I like the reel seat and cork section for your thumb to rest on as well !

Ordered 2 of them they came in piss ant boxes both boxes were busted one rod was broke in half the other intact but horrible customer service and horrible packaging buy from your local tackle shop don’t mess with these people trust me

I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and a lot of fish like Striped Bass and Speckled Trout move shallow this time a year. I was looking for a new spinning rod to bomb cast little 3 inch paddle tails from my kayak in the shallows but not so long I couldn’t skip underneath shady docks. I’ve never owned an Abu Garcia product but when I saw these were on sale I decided to pull the trigger, and I’m very pleased with it. I love the guides and balance of the rod, and especially how comfortable the reel seat is. I put a 2500 Fuego and 10 pound braid and I am thrilled with how the setup performs, I have been beating the stripers up with this thing. I am definitely coming back to buy more, most likely will be grabbing the swim jig rod next. For $99 this is an unbeatable value.
