Bought this rod to go with my older ambassador 4600cb baitcasting reel. I don’t get to fish a whole lot anymore but I can tell the difference between a good economically priced rod and a bad rod. This rod was very lightweight feeling and is 6’9” medium heavy action. It paired very well with my reel. I had used it several times and loved the rod. The next year I pulled it back out and prepped it for a fishing trip with my brother. After the second day of fishing I saw that the insert in the rod tip came out. I pushed it back in and continued using it. It kept popping back out and then before I could get back to the camp site, I broke my line and I lost the insert. I know I can replace the tip but it never seems to be the same. I wished the rod tip and eyes a little better quality even if I had to pay a little more.

The Vengeance is a really good deal for the money. I got the 7’ Medium Moderate Fast and I’m very pleased with the performance. The action is pretty spot on and the handle size and grip do their job. I’ve pulled a couple decent size bass out of the weeds with it.
