I own 14 older Abu Garcia Ambassadeur and thought I'd give the newer stuff a try. Grabbed this for laker trout, and wiper fishing. Got it home, released the bail, turned bait runner on, gave it a couple spins and was really thinking this would be great. Then...it jammed. Got curious so I took it apart. The mount hole for the digital line counter broke it looks like from assemble at the factory and jammed the main gear. Wonder how many are like this floating around. This is brand new, hasn't seen extreme colds, harsh use or been dropped.

I was looking for a digital line counter and this fit the bill. It is very low profile and works exactly as expected. There were other review comments that because of its size and location on the rod it does have a difficult time fitting into my standard rod holder. I don’t disagree with this, but it does fit it. It just does not fit as easily as a spinning rod.
Does not scam on any adjustability options worked right out of the box no problem

These are awesome reels for walleye fishing at night while trolling. Lighted line counter is perfect for fishing in the dark and the beep is a nice feature to let you know your lure is almost to the boat. I highly recommend these reels!
