This is my first baitcaster and I would be disappointed if it wasn’t on sale.
It doesn’t cast very far. I’ve got it spooled with 30lb braid and it casts half as far as my cheap Ugly Stick Walmart combo with the same line on it. Even had my veteran baitcaster-buddy try it since he has a collection of Abu Garcia products (he convinced me to buy this combo) and even he said “that’s normal”. I genuinely thought it would be an upgrade, but all I’ve done is acquire a problematic reel that functions half as well as a “Walmart Special”. I’ve taken it out at least a dozen times now too and spent hours casting in my yard to practice and fine tune the brakes and everything.
Kinda disappointed, but I do like it. I just can’t recommend that someone spend over $100 on a combo that can’t even do half of what a cheap spinning combo does.
The rod quality is divine though, I love the rod.

I did a old review that is comes late it just arrived and so far really good the rod is doing good not a mistake just fix the baitcaster how it should be done doing good by now no problems
