I like the reel but I caught about 4 fish on the rod and I've already got a broken eye and with as much as I paid I don't think that should happen

Fairly new to fishing and this is my first baitcaster. I got this as a "cheap" baitcaster to learn how to use one correctly and after a couple of casts and adjusting the brakes and tension I dont regret a single dollar. I put 12lb braid on here and the smoothness and distance that it casts is amazing. Ive only taken it out 1 time but I got my first smallie with it so in my eyes its a keeper. There was some birdnesting happening but if you know what youre doing im sure it wont happen much as my first time i only did it twice in 4 hours of fishing and was able to untangle it no problem. It fits comfortably in your hand and the reel is smooth. Would recommend to anyone looking for a "cheap" baitcaster. Abu sent it neatly wrapped and in a box with some airbags so it arrive safely at my house.

Set the hook on a 8 oz bass and the base of reel broke in half.

Came in broken but atleast they let me keep the reel and sent a replacement very good
