Great for trolling with 12 lb lead core!
Wanted a light lead core rig to use in my canoe for trout in CT lakes. The Max4-LP-60 holds 6 colors of 12 lb lead core + 100 yds 10 lb braid backing. Smooth drag and very comfortable to hold. Very pleased so far with this reel!

40 series Max4 reel
Great reel, spooled it up with some 50lb braid and paired it with my 7’3” heavy Abu Garcia Vendetta for some midsized lures casting for northern pike and muskies. Worked great and the clicker came in handy trolling for walley.

Birds Nest
Tried many times to get it to not 'birds nest' when I cast but to no avail. I've tried braided and flouro with no luck on either. My cheaper baitcaster casts better than this one. Is there a better model than this one that casts better?
