I ordered this bait caster and an open bail for the start of fishing season. This first part was not Abu’s fault as the box for the 7’ bait caster was bent so far that the box ripped open. Upon opening, the rod was broken in several places. I was leaving the next day for a striper(aka striped bass) trip 2 days later that I wanted to take them out for a test drive.

I had high expectations when calling customer service, also because I had already emailed them pictures of the busted pole. I even took a screenshot of the delivery company’s so called “proof of delivery”, which showed the box bent and busted.

I would have thought with the proof provided, they would have rush shipped me a new one. I would have expected the customer service rep to initiate my return for me given my experience. No, I was told to go to the website and put in for a return. Once the “return” was “approved”, then I would get my refund. I was then told that I had to keep going back to the refund website to check for progress. This was not the service that I would have expected.
