This is an outstanding rod for the price point! The combo is well balanced and the reel has a smooth drag. I would recommend this combo to anyone! Paired mine up with 10 braid to a 12lb trilene leader to throw poppers for largemouth!

But this a few months ago and the second time I fished with it the first six inches of the top snapped off. I reached out to customer service about the warranty two weeks ago and have not heard a word back from them. Highly disappointed in Abu Garcia. I have always been very satisfied with their products up to this point.

bought this exactly 2 months ago and at day 58 the reel exploded on casting throwing the bail and internals spitting into the creek! this was a gift for my son and highly disappointed him a this was the 3rd cast of the morning and he had to go back and use my sticks.

Bought this rod for my son for Christmas and im an abugarcia guy, all my rods are abugarcia so why not get one for the boy, he was excited and loved it and went to the garage to put some line on it and had it lean against the table and it fell over and just that easy it snapped. I was so surprised and disappointed. All my other rods take way more of a beating then just falling over and calling it quits.
