Ive been a long time abu user myself, however one year in and the bail bar snapped, the barring rusted and the smoothness i once enjoyed has disappeared. I would not recommend this reel

I read a lot of the reviews and I’m perplexed? The rocket design of the spool is amazing! The line comes off the spool like the design says. (Rocket) My retrieving is flawless, at any speed. I agree the anti reverse is definitely missed, but they did it to give you a bigger crank gear and make the reel lighter. This is now common in a lot of reel manufactures. I even went against the reel recommendations and put 6 lbs FireLine on it and had a blast. Myself, I totally recommend this reel. Guys, go fishing and have fun!!!

Love this new reel! Put it on the Veritas medium lite spinning rod. This combo is buttery smooth! Reel is smaller and lighter than expected.

Reel is smooth, the line laid on nicely. No reverse lever? Very strange. Sometimes it is nice when you have reeled the lure up too far to switch that reverse lever and release tension on the line. This reel does not have it. Even cheap reels have this what gives?

The design of this reel leaves something to be desired. The reel after casting your lure will tangle your line very easily in the internal part of your reel. Leading you to disassemble the reel to try to remove your line from inside the reel.
