Disappointed would be an under statement.
It has no release so the bail can not be turned backwards. Had I known this I would have never considered its purchase. I haven't even put line on it. It may very well get thrown in the garbage. I own a dozen or more spinning reels and all are ABU Garcia except the three Mitchels. I may give it to my Buddy for trade in at Bass Pro Shops next time they have a trade up day.
Lesson learned, I will hold the next reel in my hand before I buy another one. I have been fishing ABU Garcia since the early 70's .Several 5000's, 5500's, C3's, 2 Orra's and the sweet Revo STX.
Yes I have been Loyal to the brand for over 50 years. Fishing is my retirement. C U on the water.
I'll be the old man in the Lund 1800 ProV happily fishing with the ABU Garcia equipment!
